Minefield

Minefield? No, it's not a new time wasting game installed by default on Microsoft Windows. It's the codename for the 3.x trunk of the Mozilla browser project.

My primary browser for getting work done is Camino. Camino is a project started long ago as a way of bypassing Firefox's Carbon-based rendering engine and using the Firefox unix rendering engine with a native Cocoa-based front end. The reason being that the legacy code in the Carbon-based rendering engine was a stale and slow leftover from the Mac OS 9 era.

For those wanting to switch to Camino ...
