Other Software I'm Playing With

So in between recompiling gstreamer to see if I can come up with something that doesn't crash on 10.4 and actually plays music, I've been playing with a lot of other software.

New Facebook TOS and the DataSilo Dam-break?

So Techcrunch is reporting that Facebook is opening up their data silo at least a little bit. This follows shortly on the heels of the passage of the new terms of service (or whatever marketing language buzzword Facebook labeled their terms of service.

For those that follow my identi.ca stream, you'd know that I didn't vote, because there was no option C that rejected both the old and the new ToS. I objected to this language:

transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook
